In accordance with Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c)(2), we have established a strict protocol for dealing with claims of copyright infringement.   2. Identification of the Copyrighted Work: Provide a clear, detailed description of the original work that you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are involved, please provide a complete list.

Our Action and Enforcement Procedure

When RScript.info receives a complete, legally valid DMCA notice at our official email, our administrative team follows a strict response plan:

  • Immediate Review: We log the notice and verify the location of the challenged material within 12 hours.
  • Content Removal: If the notice is valid, we completely remove the specific code block, description, or external hyperlink from our live website.
  • User Notification: If the material was submitted by a regular site contributor, we notify them about the copyright claim and warn them about uploading unauthorized content.

The Consequences of Filing a False DMCA Notice

Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the United States Copyright Act, any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that a piece of online material or activity is infringing can be held legally and financially liable for damages.

This means that if you file a fake takedown notice for a script that you do not actually own, or if you lie about being the copyright holder, a court can order you to pay for our legal fees, server damages, and administrative costs. Counter-Notification Process for Contributors

If a script or guide you submitted was removed under a DMCA notice, and you believe this happened due to a mistake or a case of misidentification, you have the right to file a formal Counter-Notification.

To file a counter-notice, you must send an email to info@rscript.info containing your full name, contact details, a description of the material that was removed, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the item was taken down by mistake. Once received, we will forward your counter-notice to the original copyright owner. By law, if the owner does not file a lawsuit against you within 10 business days, we are permitted to restore the content to our site.
